WHAT PODCAST MASTERING IS?
You may need to mix and master your audio podcast if the voice recording
sounds dull, lifeless, incomprehensible, thin, or the volume
wavers.
Podcast mastering is a form of audio post-production. The recorded audio is processed to
make it more understandable and to boost its quality.
We deal with podcast editing also, but please note that it's not part of the podcast mastering process.
WHAT CAN WE DO TO YOUR PODCAST TO ENHANCE IT?
- Podcast editing involves removing gaps, mistakes, unwanted sounds, words, or parts, and editing out of um's, ah's, silences, stumbles, and coughs. Editing a podcast usually takes 4-5 times more than the full length of the podcast itself. But don't worry, it's worth it!
- Podcast mixing contains arrangement (adding music, intro, outro), mixing the voices of the participants (interviewee, interviewer), applying EQ, compression, gates, secret sauces, etc. Arranging and mixing a podcast usually takes the entire podcast in time.

Usually, we start the Podcast mastering process with thorough, critical listening and evaluate what we heard.
The next step is to apply equalization and dynamics processing to optimize sound translation on all playback systems and reach the loudness standards required for internet distribution.
We can't reveal much about it because the first-class, professional process is top secret. :)
*Please note that mastering doesn't involve any noise reduction or audio editing methods (such as removing background noise, or cutting out mistakes). If you also need those services, we will be more than happy to assist.

For example: If your podcast (or anything else in the list above) is 15 minutes long, you'll need to send 2 or more 15-minute long files containing audio and silence in the correct times.
